Simplify Stem and Immune Cell Sample Procurement

Gain access to a growing network of providers for fresh and cryopreserved hematologic samples from a large collective population of both healthy and diagnosed donors.

The iSpecimen Marketplace® offers hematologic tissue containing hematopoietic stem and immune cells prospectively collected from U.S. donors according to US CFR and IRB requirements. Offering more choices for donor attributes such as blood type, HLA type, body mass index (BMI), gender, age, race, ethnicity, and smoking (tobacco, vape or THC). Donors are assessed for medication, lifestyle, and medical history, tested for HBV, HCV, HIV and serological tests as a minimum, with an option to test for an expanded panel of infectious diseases.

Recent Stem and Immune Cell Procurement Successes

Overnight Delivery of Fresh Whole Leukopaks

Fresh Normal Mononuclear Cell (MNC) collection (via leukapheresis) from healthy adult non-smokers were delivered overnight to the east coast.

Mobilized Leukopak Collection with Over 97% Cell Viability

Successful collection of Fresh Mobilized Mononuclear Cells (MNC) where Day 1 full Leukopak collection is typically >50 billion WBCs, >98% cell viability, and volume of 300-500 ml depending upon Donor weight and other factors. Day 2 full Leukopak collections is typically >30 billion WBCs, >97% cell viability.

BMMCs from Patients with AML

Frozen BMMCs from 40 patients with active cases of AML were delivered — with 1M-10M cells per vial.

iSpecimen’s Cells: An Important Source of Primary Cell Types

Our cell products contain primary cells utilized in autoimmune and infectious disease research, drug discovery and preclinical development, research and development of stem cell and immunotherapies, diagnostic assays involving cell-based calibrators and controls, and numerous other life science research applications.

Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs or CD34+):

Oligopotent stem cells that give rise to each mature blood cell type

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs):

In unprocessed whole bone marrow aspirate (bone marrow stromal stem cells), multipotent stem cells capable of differentiating into osteoblasts, myocytes, adipocytes, chondrocytes; MSCs also possess immunomodulatory function

Immune cells:

Pan T (CD3+), Helper T (CD4+), Cytotoxic T (CD8+), NK (CD 56+), B cells (CD 19+), Monocytes (CD14+), antigen presenting cells (dendritic), neutrophils, macrophages, and related cell types

“This process previously required a lot of paperwork and time. iSpecimen makes it so much easier and quicker.”
