Sales Operations Analyst

Position Overview
iSpecimen, a rapidly-growing healthcare and life science technology company, is seeking a highly-motivated Sales Operations Analyst to support the sales and business development teams and efforts. The individual chosen for this position will have overall responsibility for activities and processes that help a sales organization run efficiently in support of business objectives. This includes understanding, stewarding, and analyzing the sales process workflow, generating and supporting sales operations policies and procedures, assisting with lead generation, and supporting the overall sales function to further the growth of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop sales operations policies and procedures, stewarding sales and business development processes for the company
  • Analyze sales trends and identify process bottlenecks throughout the entire sales lifecycle and recommend efficiency improvements
  • Act as the internal sales point-of-contact for all CRM activities and assist with data integrity across systems
  • Assist sales personnel with handling incoming sales requests, capturing opportunities, generating quotes, processing purchase orders, and managing opportunities throughout their lifecycle
  • Customize/optimize the Salesforce interface and workflow
  • Train the sales team on sales workflows and systems
  • Maintain existing sales reports and design new reports as needed within Salesforce
  • Coordinate revenue forecasting and budgeting processes used within the sales organization
  • Help create and maintain sales training documents and programs to increase the effectiveness of sales personnel
  • Help sales and the operations teams in other capacities as needed

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in sales operations or inside sales in the life sciences sector
  • Prior experience and proficiency with Salesforce.com is required
  • Understanding of the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and/or biotech research processes – from basic/translational and pre-clinical research to clinical research is a plus
  • Team player with strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude, with track record of taking initiative
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills along with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Intense desire to learn sales from the inside out with the ultimate goal of leading a sales operations team and/or inside sales team
