Technical Data Integration Manager
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly-skilled, self-motived Technical Data Integration Manager. Internally, we call this our GGTD (Go Get The Data) role - and that’s what you’ll be doing. As a marketplace, our suppliers are every bit as important as our customers. We can only continue to grow and scale by integrating additional highly qualified suppliers (and their data) into our network. This role will represent our data and engineering capabilities with suppliers and own successfully onboarding our biospecimen suppliers into the iSpecimen Marketplace, who are critical to providing specimens that help power the research that we support.
A successful candidate should have strong domain expertise including deep knowledge of healthcare data, project management and communication skills and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. In addition to leading our onboarding projects, this role will include ongoing efforts to improve our onboarding approaches and processes and maintaining and supporting existing suppliers. Our Marketplace platform is critical to our success and this role will be expected to work to improve our product and help continue the development of our analytic approaches and capabilities. The right individual will have strong detail orientation and a passion for client success, product, data, quality, improvement, and reporting.

iSpecimen is a small public company (~100 people) on a mission to accelerate medical research. We are building a marketplace that connects medical researchers to the human biospecimens they need through a network of hundreds of hospitals and labs. We are growing our small engineering team to dramatically improve our data quality and marketplace user experience for researchers and biospecimen suppliers.
Responsibilities:

- Participate and help drive internal initiatives such as process improvements, product improvements, and identifying best practices
Supplier Implementations and Support
- Represent iSpecimen in technology discussions and evaluate technical feasibility of supplier integration projects prior to the execution of partner agreements
- Manage our supplier data onboarding and expansion projects, serving as the primary point of contact working directly with supplier personnel, coordinating the work across multiple internal and external stakeholders to plan, deploy, integrate, monitor, and support these efforts and contributors ensuring partner engagements meet projected timelines and objectives
- Create and maintain project plan with respect to timeliness, key deliverables, planning resources, and acceptance criteria
- Prepare documentation including Statement of Work, architectural diagrams, dataflow diagrams, workflows, installation documentation, and other documentation as needed
- Working with Site Development, maintain and track the relationship with our suppliers
- Contribute to the creation and evolution our supplier onboarding programs and processes including the development and management of collateral and key metrics to monitor success
- Work directly with supplier personnel to plan and scope integration projects
- Troubleshoot problems with suppliers and strategize on solutions, coordinating with internal teams
- Enable visibility into our success in onboarding suppliers
- Evaluate tools, techniques, and partners to help improve our supplier onboarding
- Collaborate with the team to understand our suppliers’ data and how we can add value
- Present company and supplier success stories at conferences and industry events
Product Management
- Using your domain expertise and experience with suppliers, work with our product management team to understand supplier issues, needs, and future plans
- Serve as a point of contact for suppliers on software enhancements efforts
- Advise and consult on best practices of implementing iSpecimen software
- Work with Quality Assurance, as time permits, to test and evaluate iSpecimen software
- Understand relevant market trends to inform product decisions and designs
Analytics
- As a member of the Data Team, help the organization understand the data related items in the technology roadmap and collaboratively work through the approach and design to data related opportunities and issues including data modeling, data governance, and third party product analysis, evaluation, selection, design, and implementation
- Help foster a data-driven culture
- Contribute to the implementation of processes, data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting
- Develop and manage key performance indicators to measure success
Qualifications
- Experience working with numerous healthcare information systems and HL7 integration projects
- Knowledge of classification systems and clinical vocabularies and nomenclature, such as ICD-10, CPT,LOINC, SNOMED-CT, and NDC
- Amazing organizational skills with the ability to define and implement processes while retaining the flexibility required to manage quick growth in a changing environment
- Ability to project manage under tight timelines, prioritizing needs and multi-tasking in fast-paced environments
- Emotional intelligence to influence and direct a wide range of personalities through a period of growth across and within teams

- Experience with data analysis/visualization applications (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) to generate reports a plus
- Strong experience developing process and software products for two-sided marketplaces with complex workflows, for life sciences (e.g. clinical trial management software), or for healthcare (e.g LIMS or EMR software) a plus
- BS/BA degree in a science, technology, or related field.MBA or advanced degree in one of these areas preferred
- Five plus years of project management and/or consulting
- Three plus years of experience in healthcare (especially informatics and/or lab, biorepository)
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
