iSpecimen is able to collect different formats of tissue from the same donor, allowing researchers to study multiple types of samples from the same patient. Matched sets may consist of biofluids, solid tissue, cells, or some combination of these types. For example, a recent order included frozen cancerous tissue, corresponding normal adjacent tissue, and plasma and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) all from the same donors. Please contact us with your specific matched set needs. Below are some examples of the types of matched sets we can get.
- Matched blood (plasma, serum, whole blood)
- Matched blood or blood components and tissue
- Matched tissue (for example, tumored tissue and normal adjacent tissue)
- Matched blood or blood components, and tissue, and cells
